Hriday Bhoomi – Luxury Cottages & Villa is in Dhela, a small village adjoining the Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand. The nearest town is Ramnagar, approximately 13 km away.
Away from the hustle bustle of city life, yet strategically located just minutes from the Dhela & Jhirna safari gate of the Jim Corbett National Park, ‘Hriday Bhoomi’ (named after our two wonderful children) offers a unique experience of living in a hamlet, right next to the forest.
This recently built property is laid out in two parts. The front complex has a beautiful two-storey villa where the ground floor has two bedrooms with attached bathrooms, a family lounge where guests can read books or relax, and a recreation room stocked with indoor games and lush green lawns, both in front and behind the villa. The 1st floor has three bedrooms and a large open area where everyone can sit together, chat, and have fun. This space is ideal for a group of guests. All the rooms are large and spacious and welcome natural light with glass doors and windows. The slanting roof lined with traditional, semi-cylindrical clay barrel tiles gives the main structure a cottage house feel that sits grandly amidst the green surroundings. The villa also has a rooftop deck from where guests can get an uninterrupted 360o view of the village, the vast stretch of green fields as well as the distant hills of Kumaon. The entire expanse is green and refreshing.
Hriday Bhoomi embraces greenery and landscaping has been at the heart of our design. With colourful garden beds, borders and stone pathways, the lawns brighten up the complex and ensure a connection with nature. The lawns are lit in the evenings so feel free to take a stroll after dinner.
The back complex, which would be operational from November 2023 onwards, has 5 independent cottages built around a large central lawn. Every unit comprises a large, well-appointed bedroom with an attached bathroom, and a sit-out area overlooking the front garden. Guests can access the rooftop through a stairway and enjoy their morning and evening cuppa with an enviable and mesmerizing view of the Jim Corbett Jungle on one side and the Kumaon hills on the other. Each cottage has a small running fountain next to the sit-out area. The quiet surroundings combined with the soothing sound of water, will appeal to anyone seeking a calm and peaceful holiday away from the din of the city.
The front and back complexes are separated by an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant that serves delicious meals prepared by the resident chef. We pay a great deal of attention to the food we serve and our attempt is to provide healthy, home-cooked meals to our guests. Our chef uses minimal oil and spices, which appeals to most palates. Reviews on Google and Trip Advisor appreciating our food, stand testimony to our claim. We also have a kitchen garden and a small poultry farm for fresh vegetables and eggs.
Hriday Bhoomi is a semi-paradise for bird lovers, as it attracts many species of birds owing to the vast green open spaces and wide range of plants and flowers the property has. We take great pleasure in witnessing the ever-increasing population of resident sparrows, which is a rare sight in the metros. Seeing different species of birds mingle with each other over food, or play in the small duck pond on the back side of the villa is a very soothing experience.
The property has on-site parking. For security purposes, the entire complex and its surroundings are fitted with CCTV cameras.
Hriday Bhoomi is intended to be a retreat from the chaos of the city, and is a perfect place to recharge yourself, detox your lungs with fresh air, and spend quality time with family and friends in a clean, peaceful and private environment.
